Chateau Teulon
Côstieres de Nimes rouge Grower: Phillipe Teulon, 7th generation grower at this estate since 1696. Grape Varieties: 60% Syrah, 30% Grenache and 10% Mourvedre Village: Saint Gilles, in Costières de Nimes Soil: The Costières soil is made of Rhône rocky alluviums, better known as brownstone. Vinification: Varietals are vinified separately. Fully destemmed with cold maceration for 48 hours at 10ᴼC to obtain delicate and fruity wines. Fermentation at controlled temperatures, between 23 and 25ᴼC, for smooth tannins. Integrated farming, with hand harvesting, organic herbicides use, no pesticides and the utilization of sustainable agriculture which respects the environment established by the Forum de l'Agriculture Raisonnée Respecteuse l'Environnement. Tasting Notes Gorgeous purity along with abundant notes of cranberries, black cherries, black currants, crushed rocks and spring flowers. Medium to full-bodied, beautifully pure and textured. |
